To my understanding, the workshop shouldn't be too much about learning secrets, clues & hints that the lecturer has. It should be more about helping & finding solutions for struggles, puzzles & issues that each individual has and ultimately push boundaries to become a stronger, spontaneous, and responsive photographer creating compelling images throughout the key stages of the wedding day. We all can do a great job on pre-wedding shoot, engagement shoot &, etc. where we have good control on, but the wedding day is different. It is really hard to keep ourselves readily available to capture the moments with the perfect timing, right angle, right time, right composition, proper lighting, framing, layering & etc...

My goal is to become a person sharing inspirations and ideas tailored to each individual to fulfill their immediate needs, help them escape from any fear, struggles and frustrations, and ultimately help them become a stronger, effective, efficient & more responsive storyteller with confidence always loaded. Moreover, I am trying to design the mentor sessions prevailing the stale group workshops based on my experience and discussions I had with other individuals who attended other workshops.

This two-day workshop for my Mexican photographer friends will perhaps be not enough. I have talked to many people who have attended all levels of workshops & classes before... I have learned lots of pros and cons, and I don't expect mine to be perfect to meet everyone’s expectation, however, I will do my best to listen to each individual ar on their work reviewed by giving a constructive critique at my best and help them providing ideas and clues to move on.

I will do my best to help each individual with a poignant critique on their current mundane style, stagnant thinking process, and ineffective responsiveness.

I will also share my workflow with some business talk & my growth through participating in contests on a regular basis & judging contests, & speaking/mentorship experiences that I hope to help them to see what the future is awaiting ahead of them along with each stage of growth. No need to move to the next level (cuz we don't know clearly what it is). It is more about becoming more authentic and original to their craft and ultimately become a photographer who can stand out better in the saturated industry by fine-tuning their craft and solving some puzzles that each individual has.

A mi entender, el taller no debería tratar demasiado sobre el aprendizaje de secretos, trucos y sugerencias que tenga el ponente. Debería tratarse más de ayudar y encontrar soluciones para los conflictos, confusiones y problemas que tiene cada individuo y, en última instancia, superar los límites para convertirse en un fotógrafo más fuerte, espontáneo y sensible para crear imágenes convincentes en los momentos clave del día de la boda. Todos podemos hacer un gran trabajo en la sesión previa a la boda, la sesión de compromiso, etc., donde tenemos un buen control, pero el día de la boda es diferente. Es realmente difícil mantenernos disponibles para capturar los momentos con el momento perfecto, el ángulo correcto, el momento correcto, la composición correcta, la iluminación adecuada, el encuadre, las capas, etc.

Mi objetivo es convertirme en una persona que comparta inspiraciones e ideas personalizadas a cada individuo para satisfacer sus necesidades inmediatas, ayudarlo a escapar de cualquier miedo, lucha y frustración y, en última instancia, ayudarlo a convertirse en un narrador más fuerte, eficaz, eficiente y receptivo con la confianza siempre cargada. Además, estoy tratando de diseñar las sesiones mas actualizadas, por encima de los talleres grupales obsoletos en función de mi experiencia y los comentarios con los asistentes de otros workshops.

Este taller de dos días para mis amigos fotógrafos mexicanos quizás no sea suficiente. He hablado con muchas personas que han asistido a todos los niveles de talleres y clases antes ... He aprendido muchos pros y contras, y no espero que el mío sea perfecto para satisfacer las expectativas de todos, sin embargo, haré todo lo posible escuchar a cada individuo sobre su trabajo revisado y dar una crítica constructiva de la mejor manera para ayudarlos con ideas y pistas para seguir adelante.

Haré todo lo posible para ayudar a cada individuo con una crítica aguda, ya sea  sobre su estilo mundano actual, su proceso de pensamiento estancado o su capacidad de respuesta ineficaz.

También compartiré mi flujo de trabajo con algunos consejos de negocios y mi crecimiento a través de la participación en concursos de manera regular, como juez, y con mi experiencia en conferencias y mentorías, espero ayudarlos a ver lo que les espera en el futuro con cada etapa de crecimiento. No necesariamente vamos pasar al siguiente nivel (porque no sabemos con claridad cual es). Se trata más de volverse más auténtico y original en su oficio y, en última instancia, convertirse en un fotógrafo que pueda destacarse en esta industria saturada al perfeccionar su trabajo y resolver algunos desafíos que tiene cada individuo.

Workshop information

• Location: Guadalajara, Mexico . Exact Location TBA

• Workshop Session: July 13-14 10am - 6pm each day

• Please bring your laptop, camera, gears & notepad

• Please bring 10-20 best images, 10-20 images needing help on editing, and 5 award-winning images shot by other photographers that you are curious about.

• Meals: Lunch and Dinner are on your own, but it would be great if we eat altogether during intermissions.

• Tuition for Each Session: Special Pricing - USD $350 (or Mex$7,000) per person until the end of February. After the end of February, USD$300 (or Mex$6,100) per person. Payments are accepted via PayPal (kenpakphotography@gmail.com) or Cash in USD or Mexican Pesos.

• The workshop session is on a first come first serve basis. The workshop fee is non-refundable, however, it is transferable to another person.

• Comidas: el almuerzo y la cena son por su cuenta, pero sería genial si comiéramos juntos durante los intermedios.

• Creatividad y narración de historias: cómo posar un unico sujeto y múltiples sujetos de manera efectiva y estética para capturar el momento y contar la historia mejor

• Comprender a su cliente: Comunicación, rompehielos, colaboración de personalidad, seguimientos rápidos y el poder de imágenes de adelanto (Sneak Peek)

• Flujo de trabajo de postproducción en LR: Selección y edición eficaces y eficientes para clientes, blogs, preparación de concursos, historias de redes sociales, etc.

• Revisión y crítica del portafolio, revisión del sitio web.

• Premios, blogs y redes sociales resumido para SEO con palabras clave, velocidad de respuesta a los comentarios, etc.
